The day off
A perfect day out, in my view:

The inspiring exhibition of quilts at the V&A. This picture is from their website as it was very dark in the rooms and the light of camera flashes would have damaged the fragile textiles. Most of these works, contemporary or not, took years if not decades before completion and I like the fact that a part of the maker's life seems deeply embedded in them. It is a very lonely venture.

A bit of shopping.

and this.

And the Japanese theme continued when Ros and I found this place. Beautiful design and beautiful food. We had to observe a mini ceremonial and wait until the hourglass had emptied before pouring our green tea.

Pétales
Avec tous les travaux à faire dans la maison, il reste peu de temps pour s'occuper du jardin. J'assouvis mes envies de fleurs et de jeunes pousses comme je peux.
With so much work to do in the house, there is less time to spend in the garden. I try to satisfy my need for flowers and green shoots as I can.
Necklace: Japanese paper & silver, Naoko Yoshizawa.

Blossom
We have all enjoyed the last weekend. The sun was up and so was our mood. Lots of ideas are springing in my head and those thoughts are good. On Sunday, Eliott looked very happy. I took him to the playground in the morning. Then Jez took him on his first bike ride as he got a brand new helmet.
I started baking after lunch and by 5 o'clock, these little ricotta and blueberries brioches came out.
